Beautiful location. Quick access to town.
Excellent camp ground site. Good view of Ouray, and don't forget a high power binoculars. Hiking is good, but watch out for steep drop offs. Drink plenty of water to prevent altitude sickness. Buy cords of wood when registering, or down below in Ouray. Ouray has a neat waterfall area and hot springs near by. Enjoyed the outdoors. History of these mining towns are all have good, bad, and sometimes ugly tales. Good to read about the early history, while sitting around at base camp.
Awesome campground overlooking Ouray. Best sites are for tents but several nice spots if you are under 25ft
Sites are pretty private for a car-camping experience. Beautiful views. Pit toilets had a lot of flies.
This has to be one of the best forest service campgounds in the state. The views are just amazing.
